Pittsburgh Faith in Action invites you to a Conversation with Kirk Bloodsworth, Death Row Exoneree.
Kirk Bloodsworth is the first American sentenced to death to be exonerated by DNA evidence. Convicted in 1985 of the rape and murder of a young girl, he spent nine years in prison, two of them on death row. He was finally exonerated in 2003 of the crime he did not commit.
Sponsored by Pittsburgh Faith in Action Against the Death Penalty, an interfaith initiative affiliated with Pennsylvanians for Alternatives to the Death Penalty, in cooperation with the Witness to Innocence program and local faith groups.
